Mosque Open Day - 29th April 2006

The exhibition on Islam at the Leeds Grand Mosque will be open to the public on Saturday 29th April from 10am-4pm. The exhibition has the main objectives of giving an understanding of the basic beliefs of Muslims, the role of the Mosque in the community, and delivering the main message of mutual respect and understanding between faith groups.

There is also a Multi Faith Walk of Friendship organised as part of Treasures Revealed in Leeds week starting at the Hindu Temple on Alexandra Road around 10.30 am, before moving on to All Hallows Church before ending at the Leeds Grand Mosque around 1pm. Guests returning to the Leeds Grand Mosque will be able to observe congregational prayer, view the exhibition and observe a programme of events organised by Muslim youth to emphasise the importance of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Muslims.
